The National People’s Co-operative Bank of Jamaica Limited wishes to advise members and the wider public of an upcoming change to its branch operations in St Elizabeth. Effective Friday, 14 November 2026, operations at the New Market Branch will transition into the Santa Cruz Branch.

This merger forms part of our ongoing effort to serve members in a way that is accessible, supportive, and consistent across our branch network. We understand that changes to familiar banking locations can raise questions, especially for members who have conducted business at the New Market Branch over the years. Our priority is to make this transition clear and manageable, while ensuring that members continue to have access to their accounts and banking services.

Accounts will remain fully accessible. Members may continue to conduct business online, visit the Santa Cruz Branch, or use any other National PC Bank branch.

What is changing for New Market Branch members

The change means that the day-to-day operations of the New Market Branch will move to the Santa Cruz Branch. From the effective date, members who would normally visit New Market for in-branch services may instead visit Santa Cruz or any other National PC Bank branch that is convenient.

This is a branch operations change. It does not mean that member accounts are being closed. It does not mean that members must open new accounts. It does not affect the ownership of member funds.

The National People’s Co-operative Bank of Jamaica Limited remains committed to supporting members through the transition and maintaining dependable access to banking services.

Members are encouraged to take note of the date and plan their branch visits accordingly. If a member is unsure where to go for a particular service, our team is available to provide guidance by phone, WhatsApp, or email.

Account access will continue through several channels

Members of the New Market Branch will continue to have access to their accounts. The merger is intended to direct branch services through Santa Cruz while keeping account access available through approved banking channels.

Account access options include:

  • Online banking Members who use online banking may continue to access their accounts digitally, where available and applicable to their account type.

  • The Santa Cruz Branch Members may visit the Santa Cruz Branch for in-person service following the transition of New Market Branch operations.

  • Any other National PC Bank branch Members may conduct eligible banking transactions at another National PC Bank branch, based on the services offered at that location.

  • Customer support by phone or WhatsApp Members may call or send a WhatsApp message to 876-962-5360 for assistance with questions related to the merger or account access.

  • Customer support by email Members may email info@npcbankjm.com for further information or guidance.

These options are meant to help members choose the access point that best fits their needs. Some members may prefer the Santa Cruz Branch because of its location in St Elizabeth. Others may find online access or another branch more convenient.

What members should know before the effective date

The Bank encourages members to review how they currently access services and decide which option will work best after the transition. For many members, the change may simply mean visiting Santa Cruz instead of New Market for in-person banking.

To prepare, members may wish to:

  • Confirm preferred account access method Decide whether online access, the Santa Cruz Branch, or another National PC Bank branch will be most convenient.

  • Save the contact details Keep 876-962-5360 and info@npcbankjm.com available for quick reference.

  • Ask questions early Members who need clarification are encouraged to contact the Bank before the effective date.

  • Plan in-branch visits Members who normally visit the New Market Branch should plan future visits through Santa Cruz or another National PC Bank location.

  • Update personal records if needed Members who keep branch details in personal files or business records may update those records to reflect the transition.

The Bank recognises that some members may have long-standing ties to the New Market Branch. Our team will continue to support members with care and respect throughout the change.

Support is available throughout the transition

Clear communication is an important part of this process. Members are invited to contact the Bank with any questions about the merger, branch access, or ways to continue managing their accounts.

Contact channels are:

  • Call or WhatsApp 876-962-5360

  • Email info@npcbankjm.com

When contacting the Bank, members should avoid sending sensitive account information by email or WhatsApp unless advised through an approved and secure process. For account-specific matters, the Bank may need to verify identity before providing details.

Members may ask about:

  • The effective date of the branch transition

  • How to access accounts after the New Market Branch merger

  • Services available at the Santa Cruz Branch

  • Use of other National PC Bank branches

  • Online account access

  • Any other concerns related to the change

The National People’s Co-operative Bank of Jamaica Limited appreciates the trust members place in the institution. We remain focused on making the process as smooth as possible.

Our continued commitment to members

National PC Bank has long valued the relationships built with members across Jamaica, including those served through New Market and Santa Cruz. This merger does not change our commitment to service, accountability, and member care.

The Bank understands that branch changes can affect routines. For that reason, this notice is being shared to give members time to prepare, ask questions, and select the most convenient way to continue banking.

Members can be assured that:

  • Accounts remain accessible

  • Services will continue through approved channels

  • The Santa Cruz Branch will receive New Market Branch operations

  • Other National PC Bank branches remain available for eligible services

  • Support is available by phone, WhatsApp, and email

We thank all members of the New Market Branch for their loyalty, patience, and continued confidence in the National People’s Co-operative Bank of Jamaica Limited. We look forward to serving members through the Santa Cruz Branch and across our wider branch network.
